Whether engaging with the scholars in conversations, observing faculty teach, or simply walking the halls of the school, I have seen the meaningful, faith-filled work the scholars are steeped in. ALCA’s focus on STEAM, coupled with Leadership, not only prepares the scholars well for secondary education, but equips them for education post-high school as well. In every interaction I have had with the scholars, I have witnessed the life skills that are being developed in them. I was extremely impressed by the energy, poise, and focus of the ALCA scholars who I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Scholars who attend the Academy for the individualized curricula focused on STEM, and architecture also receive leadership and entrepreneurship training to prepare them to be next generation of female leaders and what they are doing is working.
The scholars of ALCA impressed me from the beginning. They were respectful and eager to learn. But most of all, they were attentive to their peers as well as the teachers. This kind of confidence is borne from the educators and staff that are sensitive to the needs of their classes as individuals and as a group. It is such an incredible environment for our young women leaders to be successful in whatever field they choose in the future.
